Off-season
The project "Off-season" is combined with my other series of photographs that I was working on at that period named “Bathers”, where I tried to find out the peculiarities of the bathers, their habits and preferences, their emotions, their relaxation, and carefree attitude, as well as their friendships. I was struck by the mystical aura and how different the landscape looked during the off-season. So, this project emerged, and almost imposed its presence on me, through another project.
Wandering around the hotels of different areas and their endless beaches, what I was sensing was not abandonment, it was a mixture of absolute peace and a quiet "breathing space" from the noise of the cosmic summer. The mist, the fishermen and fishing boats, the lonely swimmers, the changing rooms covered with plastic, and the dusty windows of the old hotels, all summed up this secret pleasure of nature and the local people were regaining their precious quiet.
